Day at the Museums

Today Elena toured 2 museums in Denver:  The Colorado History Museum and the Denver Art Museum!  Both museums had lots of "hands on" activities for Elena, Allison, and Lindsay and we all had fun searching them out.  Between the two museums, we were happy to be able to show Elena a lot of art and artifacts from our Native Americans, Spanish-American artifacts, as well as representations (art/displays/activities) from the "spirit of western America" (cowboys, early American life).

We had salad and panini for lunch, stopped at the house for a quick visit to our neighborhood park for some music, and finished the evening with dinner at Erik's all-time favorite restaurant, The Melting Pot for fondue.  Another busy and super-fun day!!!!!

Colorado's State motto

Replica of an early American General Store, "Anyone need soup?"

Everyone needs to know how to a milk a cow, right?

Watch out for these banditas!
