A relaxing day!

Well, today was another fun albeit relaxed day with Elena. We were all very tired after our rafting trip, and Elena went to bed early and slept until 10am! As usual though, she came out of her room with a big smile! We had a quiet morning at home, and after a little bit of shopping we set out for downtown and the aquarium. On Saturday we will be attending the wedding of our dear friend Brittany, she used to watch our children while we were at work. We made a special trip to visit the aquarium and watch one of her performances as a mermaid. We had a wonderful time at the aquarium getting to know some of our local animals, and learning about some who weren't so local. The girls really enjoyed seeing the tigers and petting/feeding the stingrays. Before the show, we had dinner at a tapas/Mexican food restaurant. We thought Elena might be curious what Spanish food was like in America.......she chose Mexican! After dinner we walked back across the street to see the mermaid show and meet our soon to be married friend. Our day ended with a traditional American desert, the root beer float......which we now know is not her favorite! Tomorrow we are headed to Cripple Creek, Colorado to explore Colorado's mining heritage. Here are a few pictures from today:
